  ABOUT OVERWEIGHT
The availability of cheap 'fast-food', and adaptation of a more sedentary lifestyle ('couch potatoes') has led to an epidemic of overweight men, women, and kids in the USA, which is fast spreading to other developed countries in the world. Habits are formed in childhood and are difficult to change as a man or woman gets older. Disorders associated with aging are often worsened if obesity is present: e.g. diabetes, arthritis, heart disease.
